The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association named Caston boys basketball players Logan Mollenkopf and Lane Hook to their Underclass Honorable Mention All-State team.
They were two of 94 players selected statewide.
Mollenkopf, a 6-2 sophomore guard-forward, averaged 18.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Comets, who went 17-8. Caston finished 6-2 and finished in third place in the Hoosier North and won sectional games over North White and DeMotte Christian before falling to Tri-County in the sectional final.
Hook, a 6-5 forward-center, averaged 15 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Mollenkopf and Hook were the only RTC area players recognized.
The IBCA names a “Supreme 15,” plus Large School, Small School and Underclass All-State teams for seniors and underclassmen.
Former Tippecanoe Valley and current Wawasee player Stephen Akase made the Senior Honorable Mention All-State team.
