Miller sets school record with 66, helps Valley take 2nd at Manchester Invite

Greg Miller

Greg Miller shot a 6-under-par 66 to set a new Tippecanoe Valley school record for 18 holes and help the Vikings place second out of nine teams at the Manchester Invitational at Sycamore Golf Club in North Manchester Saturday.

Northridge won the tournament with a 299. Valley had a 310, the school’s best score for 18 holes since 1999.

In addition to Miller, Eli Love and Wes Parker each shot an 80, Ethan Young had an 84, and Nash Bouse had a 97.

Northfield, the reigning Three Rivers Conference champion, shot a 313.

Miller’s round included an eagle on the par-5 11th hole and birdies on Nos. 2, 3, 8, 9, 13 and 17. Northridge’s Brock Reschly and Fairfield’s Brayden Miller shot a 69 and 71, respectively, and also finished under par on the par 72 course.
