Winamac’s Nathan Pierzchalski won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters, and he also ran a leg on the victorious 4 x 800 relay, and Charles Disinger won both the discus and shot put to help the Winamac boys track team finish second out of eight teams at the Hoosier North boys track meet at Culver Tuesday.

Winamac scored 120 points. Triton won with 135 points.

Among other area teams, Caston was fourth with 81, Pioneer was fifth with 69, North Miami was sixth with 60, Culver was seventh with 33, and Argos was eighth with five.

Pierzchalski won the 1,600 in 4:43.81 and the 3,200 in 11:10.61. He also teamed with Hector Gallegos, Paxton Moon and Logan Fredel in the 4 x 800 relay to win in 8:47.74.

Disinger threw the discus 133-2 and beat runner-up Mikaden Tolosa of Pioneer by over nine feet. Disinger’s teammate Hunter Haschel was third at 122-6.

Disinger’s winning shot put heave of 48-0 ¼ beat runner-up Kameron Whann of North Miami by over four feet. There was more of a distance gap between Disinger and Whann than between Whann and the sixth-place thrower.
