Pioneer baseball suffers first loss to Clinton Central

Clinton Central 10, Pioneer 5 (Thursday): Clinton Central scored five runs in the top of the first and earned a wire-to-wire win over host Pioneer Thursday.

Pioneer dropped to 1-1. Pioneer pitchers walked eight and hit two batters. Clinton Central also had 10 stolen bases.

Troy Smith allowed two runs over three innings on the mound for the win, and he also had two hits and two RBIs at the plate.
