The Pioneer boys track team scored six points and tied for 21st place at the Hoosier State Relays at the Gladstein Fieldhouse in Bloomington Saturday.
All six points came courtesy of the distance medley relay team, which finished in sixth place out of 24 teams in 11:02.98. The team consisted of Leighton Dodt in the 1,200 meters, Cayden Hill in the 400, Jackson Baker in the 800 and Carson Meyer in the 1,600.
Guerin Catholic won the race in 10:40.48.
Meyer also participated in the 3,200 and finished in 24th place out of 24 runners in 10:36.23.
Pioneer did not score any team points in the girls meet.
The distance medley relay team finished in 14:08.50 and took 18th place in a field of 23 teams. The team consisted of Paula Collado Fernandez in the 1,200, Blair Grigsby in the 400, Makenna Strycker in the 800 and Violet Montgomery in the 1,600. Park Tudor won the race in 12:24.95.
Montgomery also placed 21st out of 24 runners in the 3,200 in 12:25.96.
The other Pioneer girl who participated was Rachel Harding, who tied for 19th in the high jump with a clearance of 4-9.
