Rochester draws Kouts for Small School Classic

Girls basketball

The Rochester girls basketball team will play Kouts in the first round of the Small School Classic at Clinton Prairie High School at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 2.

The loser will play in the consolation game at 4:30 p.m. The winner will play in the championship game at 6:30 p.m.

Kouts is 9-3 and ranked No. 8 in Class 1A.

Clinton Prairie and North White are the other teams in the field.

This is the third year of the tournament. Rochester has won it the previous two years, and they have beaten Kouts in this tournament each of the last two years.
