Rochester girls 2nd, boys 3rd at Twin Lakes Invite

The Rochester girls cross-country team scored 38 points and finishing second out of four teams at the inaugural Twin Lakes Invitational Aug. 18.

Adison Hayes was sixth overall in 24:14, Katelyn Conliff was seventh in 25:05, Daniela Ochoa was 12th in 25:55, Vivian Miller was 13th in 27:18, and Jane Gottschalk was 26th in 30:58. Non-scoring runners included Chloie Tyler, who was 31st in 32:14; Baine, who was 32nd in 32:17; Jocelyn Shafer, who was 34th in 36:16; and Addy Hake, who was 36th in 40:36.

John Glenn won the team title with 25 points. Delphi’s Louane Emeraud was first across the finish line in 22:21.

In the boys meet, Rochester scored 114 points and took third in the nine-team field at the Twin Lakes Invitational on Aug. 18. 

Freshman Warner DuBois was the frontrunner, finishing 14th in 19:01. Leandro Javier was 18th in 19:30, Caden Biernacki was 32nd in 20:40, Parker Smith was 38th in 21:16, Lucas Scorsone was 46th in 21:48, Tyson Wachtmann was 49th in 22:03, and Tommy Schwenk was 81st in 27:30.

Chesterton took the team title with 17 points. The Trojans had the top three individuals, including individual champion Ryan Nix, who was timed in 16:14.
