Rochester TRC Conference champs are No. 1 seeds at sectional

All seven Rochester wrestlers who won individual titles at the Three Rivers Conference tournament Saturday are No. 1 seeds in their respective weight classes for Peru sectional.

Wyatt Davis (113), Ethan Holloway (120), Aaron Swango (126), Greyson Gard (152), Alex Deming (195), Brady Beck (220) and Marshall Fishback (HWT) are all No. 1 seeds.

Seeds are determined through a coaches meeting prior to the sectional.

Rochester is the defending sectional champion.

Start time for the Peru sectional is 8 a.m. Saturday. The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to the Maconaquah regional on Feb. 5.

The following Rochester wrestlers are ranked in the top 25 statewide, per the Jan. 14 IndianaMat rankings:

• Beck is No. 8 at 220.

• Fishback is No. 13 at heavyweight.

• Deming is No. 14 at 195.

• Holloway is No. 19 at 120.

• Davis is No. 20 at 113

• Gard is No. 23 at 152.
