Rude homers, but Caston falls to Lady Trojans

West Central 7, Caston 6 (April 10): Myli Rude hit a solo homer, and Kylee Logan had two hits and an RBI for visiting Caston in a loss to sectional rival West Central April 10.

Lexie Field singled and walked and had an RBI, and Avery Baldwin singled and had an RBI. Hadlie Coffing also had an RBI.

Abigail Apperson and Mia Mersch each had a hit.

Mersch took the loss in the circle. She allowed 11 hits and seven runs (four earned) while walking none and striking out one.

West Central led 7-3 after four innings.

Rude led off the sixth with a homer to cut the Lady Trojan lead to 7-6, but West Central pitcher Makylah Holle retired the next six batters to close out the game.
