The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association has invited Caston junior Isabel Scales to its Underclass Showcase at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis at 12:30 p.m. June 15.
She is one of 120 players statewide to receive an invitation and the only player from the RTC area to receive an invitation.
The IBCA, who stages the event “with support from” the IHSAA, said in a statement that the Underclass Showcase is “designed to give exposure to approximately 240 of the top basketball prospects from across the state (120 boys, 120 girls) to colleges across the state and nation.”
The Underclass Showcase is open to the public. Admission is $5 and will last until 4:30 p.m.
No RTC area boys players received an invitation. Brownsburg High School will host the boys Underclass Showcase on June 17.
Caston went 20-3 and won the Hoosier North title with a 7-0 conference mark in 2022-23. Scales has scored 1,019 career points in three seasons.
She averaged 16.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game last season.
