Seuferer’s 4 blue ribbons help Rochester boys swimming beat Plymouth in home finale

Boys swimming

Rochester 103, Plymouth 75 (Tuesday): Jake Seuferer won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke in his final home dual meet as part of a four-blue ribbon night as the Zebra boys beat Plymouth Tuesday at the Rochester Middle School pool.

Seufer swam the 100 freestyle in 51.71 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:00.08. Other Rochester individual winners included Tanner Reese in the 50 freestyle, Wes Steininger in the 100 butterfly and Peyton Brooks in diving.

Rochester also swept all three relays.

Seuferer, Steininger and Reese teamed up with Lane Shank in the 200 medley relay and with Reece Johnson in the 400 freestyle relay.

Reese and Shank swam the 200 freestyle relay with Brooks and Noah Riffle.

The Rochester girls did not swim. They will swim next at the Warsaw sectional preliminaries at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Diving preliminaries are at 9 a.m. Saturday, and swimming and diving finals are at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Rochester boys will next swim at their sectional preliminaries at Warsaw beginning Feb. 15.
