Smith, Thompson, Stiles homer as Valley edges Winamac

Tippecanoe Valley 7, Winamac 6 (April 13): Corinna Stiles tripled, homered and drove in three runs, and Madi Smith and Maddie Thompson also homered for Valley in a home win over Winamac on April 13.

Smith had two RBIs. Dalynne Bussard laced a pair of doubles. Mackaylie Costello also had a double, and Abby Bowers had a single.

Valley trailed 6-5 after four-and-a-half innings but scored one in the fifth to tie it and one in the seventh to walk it off.

Bussard pitched a complete game, allowing nine hits and five earned runs. She walked two and struck out nine.

McKenzie Hinz had two hits and two RBIs for Winamac. Lauren Bruce and Emma Good also had two hits.
