Solano’s big 4th quarter leads Pioneer past Rossville

Pioneer 53, Rossville 42 (Saturday): Oscar Solano scored 13 of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Panthers past visiting Rossville Saturday.

Solano outscored the entire Rossville team 13-8 in the fourth quarter. Solano made 11 of 12 foul shots in the fourth quarter.

Christian Scott added 14 points. Drew McKaig had nine points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Pioneer trailed 34-32 going into the fourth quarter before pulling out the win to improve to 4-11 against Rossville, a Class 2A regional finalist in 2021.
