Ainsley Horvath won both the discus with a throw of 61-5 and the shot put with a throw of 26-10, and Sophia Baker won both the 200 meters and the long jump for the Rochester JV girls track team in a home meet against Maconaquah at Barnhart Field Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in the boys meet, Tyson Wachtmann won both the 100 and the 200 and ran a leg on the victorious 4 x 100 relay for the Rochester boys JV.

Team scores were not kept.

Other Rochester girls individual winners included Elise Enyart in the 100 and Quinn Gruss in the 400.

Rochester also won both the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays. Maddie Bailon, Kyla Conley and Maddie MacLain joined Enyart on the 4 x 100 relay. Addisyn Zimmerman joined Gruss, MacLain and Enyart on the 4 x 400 relay.

Other Rochester boys individual winners included Tanner Horn, who took the 400; James “Auggie” Wells IV, who took the 300 hurdles; Cailab Tyler, who took the shot put with a heave of 32-4; and Owen Lett, who won the discus with a toss of 99-8.

Cain Cortez joined Wachtmann, Horn and Wells on the 4 x 100 relay.

The 3,200, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 4 x 800 relay, high jump and pole vault were not contested in the girls meet. The 1,600, 3,200, 110 hurdles, 4 x 800 relay, high jump and pole vault were not contested in the boys meet.

The Rochester varsity’s next meet is at the Tipton Invitational at 5:15 p.m. Friday.
