Straeter wins at No. 2 singles, but Rochester falls to Valley

Girls tennis

Tippecanoe Valley 4, Rochester 1 (Friday): Ellie Straeter won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, but the host Lady Zs fell to Valley at the RHS courts Friday.

Olivia Bailey lost at No. 1 singles, and Emma Murphy lost at No. 3 singles.

J.J. Graber and Ella Ramsey lost at No. 1 doubles, and Hailey Crissinger and Savannah Wolters lost in straight sets at No. 2 doubles.

Rochester is 3-3. They will host Lewis Cass at 5 p.m. today.

Valley (1-0) will host Jimtown in their Indiana Northern State Conference opener at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Valley also won the JV match 4-1.
