Trailing 3-1, Culver comes back to eliminate Oregon-Davis

Culver 7, Oregon-Davis 6 (Wednesday): Trailing 6-4 going into the bottom of the seventh, Culver came back to beat O-D in a Class 1A, Sectional 50 quarterfinal at Tri-Township Wednesday.

Culver scored a run in the fourth and two in the fifth to take a 4-3 lead.

The Bobcats scored three in the top of the seventh to take a 6-4 lead before Culver came back.

Culver improved to 2-19 and will play Triton in a semifinal at 11 a.m. Eastern Saturday. The winner will return for the sectional final at noon Eastern Monday.

Culver lost twice to Triton during the regular season, including a 5-3 loss in nine innings on May 9.

Culver is seeking its first sectional title since 2013.
