Wagner, Backus lead Valley past Bremen

Girls basketball

Tippecanoe Valley 50, Bremen 45 (Thursday): Sidney Wagner and Hayley Backus scored 16 points each for Tippecanoe Valley in a season-opening road win over Bremen Tuesday.

Kaydence Mellott added nine.

Ellia Foster hit six 3-pointers and scored 28 points for Bremen in the loss.

Valley led 25-15 at halftime.

Valley drops Culver Academy, Logansport, adds South Central, Fort Wayne South Side: The Valley girls basketball games against Culver Academy Tuesday and Logansport on Nov. 17 have both been canceled.

Valley has added South Central (Union Mills) to its schedule at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 and Fort Wayne South Side to its schedule at 3 p.m. Nov. 21.

Both games are varsity only.

The South Central game will be on the road, and the Fort Wayne South Side game will be at home.
