Week 11 football roundup: Panthers run for 415 yards, trounce Frontier

Pioneer 42, Frontier 6 (Friday): Phillip McFatridge ran for 167 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries, and Shiloh Rine added 103 yards rushing for No. 5 Pioneer in a win over No. 3 Frontier Friday.
Noah VanMeter added 93 yards and a score on 11 carries, and Micah Rans ran seven times for 40 yards and a touchdown.
As a team, Pioneer did not complete a pass but ran for 415 yards on 11.2 yards per carry.
Eli Guffey and Carter Mize each had interceptions on defense. Guffey also had a tackle for loss.
J.J. Solano had 12 tackles, McFatridge had 10, Guffey had six, and VanMeter had five. McFatridge also forced a fumble.
Rine had a 36-yard punt return.
Pioneer held Frontier to a season-low in points and a season-low 196 yards of offense. Frontier’s previous season low in points was 37 against Clinton Prairie in the season opener.Â
Pioneer led 28-0 at halftime.
Pioneer will travel to Carroll (Flora) for the sectional final. Start time is 7 p.m. this Friday. Carroll edged Taylor 20-19 in their semifinal.
