Winamac beats Boone Grove, allows fewest points in game since 2011

Winamac 40, Boone Grove 16 (Tuesday): Will Malchow scored 12 of his game-high 18 points in the second half, and Ethan Burgess added eight for Winamac in a home win over Boone Grove Tuesday.

Justin Potthoff scored all six of his points in the second half.

Winamac led 14-9 at halftime and bumped the lead to 26-11 after three quarters.

Salvador Montes led the Wolves with seven points.

Winamac improved to 11-2. Boone Grove fell to 7-4.

Winamac is third in the state with their 34.7 defensive scoring average.

This marked the fewest points Winamac has allowed since a 51-16 win over North White on Feb. 10, 2011.
