Zimpleman tosses shutout, Mollenkopf has 4 hits in Caston triumph over Maconaquah

Caston 13, Maconaquah 0 (6 innings, Tuesday): Addison Zimpleman fired a four-hit shutout with six strikeouts, and Kinzie Mollenkopf had four hits and three RBIs at the plate for the Class 1A, No. 14 Lady Comets in a rout of host Maconaquah Tuesday.

Isabel Scales homered and drove in three runs, and Zimpleman also had a double and a sacrifice fly and had two RBIs. Macee Hinderlider had three singles and an RBI, and Annie Harsh had two hits and an RBI.

Bailey Harness and Kylee Logan each doubled. Alexa Finke and Haley Logan each had an RBI.

Caston broke a scoreless tie with seven runs in the third. They later added one in the fifth and five in the sixth.
