Argos’ Jackson Kindig was named Hoosier Plains player of the year in voting done by the conference’s coaches and released to the media.
Kindig hit .438 with seven RBIs for the Dragons this spring. He had a 1.050 OPS and struck out only once in 32 at-bats.
Kindig was the only Argos player named first-team all-conference. Kindig was also the only Argos player named Academic All-Conference.
To be named Academic All-Conference, a player must be either a junior or senior and have a grade-point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
In addition, teammate Nate Manikowski was named honorable mention all-conference. Manikowski hit .303 with two RBIs and an .810 OPS.
