Argos’ Morris verbally committee to DePauw

J.J. Morris

Argos senior guard-forward J.J. Morris has verbally committed to play basketball at DePauw University, according to his Twitter account.

Morris averaged 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game for the Dragons, who went 15-8. Morris was named first-team all-Hoosier Plains and first-team all-RTC.

He was also the RTC Player of the Year in 2022.

Morris also had known offers from Manchester, Anderson and Ohio Northern.

DePauw is an NCAA Division III school located in Greencastle. DePauw went 18-9 for coach Rusty Loyd in 2022-23.

The spring signing period for NCAA basketball begins April 12.
