Bollenbacher’s 20 helps Argos beat Lakeland Christian

Argos 38, Lakeland Christian 28 (Saturday): Ellie Bollenbacher scored 20 points, and Leah Pizzuto and Makenzie Smith added seven each for the host Lady Dragons in a win over Lakeland Christian Saturday.

Bollenbacher outscored the entire Lakeland Christian team 10-9 in the first quarter. Pizzuto and Smith each made a 3-pointer.

Argos won despite making just 2 of 10 free throws.

Olivia Hawks had 18 points for Lakeland Christian (3-14), who lost their seventh straight game.

Lakeland Christian did not get into the bonus in any quarter, and they attempted only two free throws.

Argos (2-14) led 19-17 at halftime and extended the lead to 30-21 after three quarters.
