Culver boys basketball briefs: Clingler scores 10 in loss to Pioneer

Cavs hold O-D to 1 point in 4th quarter in home win

Boys basketball

North Judson at Culver, ppd.: The North Judson-Culver boys basketball game scheduled for Tuesday was postponed due to snow. No makeup date has been set.

Pioneer 46, Culver 27 (Friday): Ezra Lewellen nailed two 3-pointers and scored a game-high 14 points, and Drew McKaig also hit a pair of 3s and added 10 for the Panthers in a Hoosier North home win over Culver Friday.

Owen Clingler led Culver with 10 points.

Already leading 23-17 at halftime, Pioneer outscored Culver 19-2 in the third quarter.

Pioneer won their second conference game in as many days and improved to 6-10 overall, 3-3 Hoosier North. Culver dropped to 6-11, 1-5.

Cameron Minix and Auston Zehner added six points each, and Braxton Conley and Shane Shuman had four each. Emiliano Ortiz had three, and Ethan Keller had one.

Jared Bryan and Dylan Murphy had nine points each for the Bobcats.

Culver led 23-21 at halftime. They outscored O-D 6-1 in the fourth quarter.
