Hot-shooting Peterson, Berndt lead Culver past Knox

Culver 54, Knox 37 (Dec. 10): Rose Peterson hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high

16 points while also grabbing nine rebounds, and Brynn Berndt added 12 points for the host Lady Cavaliers in a historic win over Knox at John R. Nelson Gymnasium Dec. 10.

Kennedy Jackson added seven points and also pulled down 14 rebounds. Culver had a 46-17 rebounding advantage.

Morgan Downs led Knox with 13 points, but Culver held the Lady Redskins to 27 percent shooting.

Culver led 30-18 at halftime.

The win was Culver’s first over Knox since the schools became conference rivals in 2015. Culver averaged 21.2 points per game in those previous seven losses to Knox.
