Tri-Township 14, Argos 1 (5 innings, Thursday): Nate Manikowski stole two bases and scored the lone Dragon run in the first inning, but three Tri-Township pitchers combined on a five-inning no-hitter in a Class 1A, Sectional 50 quarterfinal at Tri-Township Thursday.

Manikowski was hit by a pitch and Jackson Kindig walked in the first inning. Manikowski and Kindig pulled off a double steal, and when the throw to attempt to get Manikowski was wild for an error, he came around to score.

Blain Rust, Noah Kneifel and Cody Vernich combined on the no-hitter. Rust pitched the first three innings and walked two and fanned eight. Kneifel and Vernich followed with one inning each.

Manikowski pitched the first three innings and allowed three hits and eight runs (one earned). He walked one and struck out three.

Kyle Bradley pitched two innings and allowed four hits and six runs (one earned). He walked one and fanned five.

Argos committed 12 errors that led to 12 unearned runs for Tri-Township.

Tri-Township took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second and added six more in the third inning and one in the fourth before a five-run fifth.

Though the game was played at Tri-Township, Argos was the home team. Argos finished 2-17.
