Mollenkopf pitches 1-hitter, adds 3 hits, 3 RBIs at plate for Caston in rout of Manchester

Caston 15, Manchester 0 (5 innings, Tuesday): Kinzie Mollenkopf pitched a one-hitter with no walks and 12 strikeouts, and she added a single and two doubles and three RBIs at the plate for the Class 1A, No. 9 Lady Comets in a rout of visiting Manchester Tuesday.

Isabel Scales also had a single, two doubles and three RBIs, and Alexa Finke singled and doubled and drove in three runs. Kylee Logan doubled twice and drove in two runs, and Addison Zimpleman singled and tripled and drove in a run. Macee Hinderlider singled and drove in two runs.

Caston had 13 hits and also drew three walks.

Paxton Baker singled for Manchester’s only hit.

Caston scored four runs in each of the first two innings and then added seven in the third.

Caston is 10-4.
