Morris, Stults score 16 each, lead Argos past Triton

Richard adds 12, Mills has Dragons’ only FG in OT

Boys basketball

Argos 50, Triton 45 (OT, Feb. 2): J.J. Morris and Luke Stults scored 16 points each, and Sean Richard added 12 and the Argos boys basketball team defeated visiting Triton in overtime at Phil Weybright Gymnasium in the teams’ first meeting since last year’s sectional final.

Nate Manikowski and A.J. Mills each had three points. Mills had Argos’ only field goal in the overtime.

Cole Shively scored 15 points, and Anthony Schuh added 10 for Triton.

Argos went 24 for 38 from the foul line while Triton went 2 for 8.

Argos led 27-18 at halftime before Triton got within 37-33 after three quarters.

Argos did not have a field goal in the fourth quarter, and the game was tied at 41 at the end of regulation.
