Reinartz throws 1-hitter as Zebras stay unbeaten in TRC
McGlothin, Paulik, Hunting drive in 2 runs each in win over Northfield

Rochester 13, Northfield 0 (5 innings, Thursday): Tanner Reinartz pitched a one-hitter, and Tarick McGlothin, Carson Paulik and Luke Hunting had two RBIs each for the Class 2A, No. 8 Rochester baseball team in a Three Rivers Conference road win over Northfield Thursday.
Paulik and Brayden Zink had two singles each. Zink had an RBI, and Reinartz and Hunter Campbell also had an RBI.
McGlothin, Hunting, Jake Seuferer, Gavin Young and Ethan Medina had one RBI each.
Northfield pitchers walked eight and hit a batter while Reinartz walked just one. Hunting and Campbell walked twice each.
Rochester committed one error while Northfield committed four miscues. Northfield’s errors led to seven unearned runs for the Zebras.
Rochester scored in all five innings in which they batted.
They are 5-0 in the TRC with the last four wins coming by 10-run rule.
In other TRC games Thursday, Whitko beat Maconaquah 4-1 to stay within a game of the Zebras. Tippecanoe Valley beat North Miami 8-5, Manchester edged Wabash 4-3, and Peru knocked off Southwood 9-4. Every team in the TRC has at least two conference losses except for Rochester and Whitko.
All of the TRC games played on Thursday were originally scheduled for Monday but postponed due to inclement weather.
Rochester travels to Warsaw at 11 a.m. Saturday. Their next TRC game is at Wabash at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
