Rochester junior bowler Enrique Navarro won the state singles title at Royal Pin Western Bowl in Indianapolis Saturday.
Navarro finished fourth out of 27 bowlers with a 663 series during the three-game qualifying round (187-243-233) to qualify for the stepladder finals. Only the top four advanced to the stepladder finals, and Navarro edged Jimtown’s Kahne Kelley by five pins to advance.
He then defeated No. 3 seed Brylan Hill of Northview 246-209, No. 2 seed Christopher McDonald Jr. of Bellmont 232-164 and top-seeded Adam Harrison of Mishawaka Marian 199-183 to claim the title.
