The Rochester boys tennis team drew North Judson in their quest to end Culver Academy’s 18-year stranglehold on the sectional title.
The statewide draw was released Monday.
The Zebras will play North Judson at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Culver Academy. It will be a rematch of an Aug. 30 match in which the Zebras downed the Blue Jays 4-1.
Rochester had drawn Knox the previous eight years and had gone 6-2 in those eight matches. They have lost the past three sectional finals to Culver Academy.
Rochester’s lineup consists of Brock Bowers at No. 1 singles, Tanner Reinartz at No. 2 singles, Luke Hunting at No. 3 singles, Robert Bozzo and Brayden Zink at No. 1 doubles and Jake Freeman and Brady Morgan at No. 2 doubles.
The Eagles, ranked No. 21, have won 18 consecutive sectional titles on their home courts. They drew Knox in the other semifinal.
The sectional final is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Culver Academy will also host the regional on Oct. 4-5 and the semistate on Oct. 8.
