Morris goes 8 for 8 from line, leads 4 Dragons in double figures with 20

Peru 80, Argos 63 (Saturday): J.J. Morris led four Argos players in double figures with 20 points in a road loss to Peru at Tig-Arena Saturday.
Morris scored 10 points in each half and sunk all eight of his free throw tries. Luke Stults added 13 points, and Sean Richard and Nate Manikowski had 11 each for Argos, who dropped to 13-7 going into their regular season finale against Elkhart Christian Friday.
Peru, who was coming off a road loss to Rochester Friday, jumped out to a 21-11 lead after one quarter and extended the lead to 44-27 at halftime.
Matthew Roettger scored 15 of his-game high 30 points in the second quarter for the Tigers (14-6). Gavin Eldridge added four 3-pointers and 19 points, and Braxten Robbins had 11.
Peru made 11 3-pointers and 9 of their 10 free throws.
Peru also won the JV game 59-30. Hayden Hensler led the Argos JV with 12 points, Hunter Xaver had eight, Dominic Burns had six, and Gabe McMillen and Mack Calhoun had two each.
