Wise makes honorable mention

Tippecanoe Valley’s Betty Shepherd and Gaby Gonzalez have been selected first-team All-Indiana Northern State Conference and teammate Hadley Wise has been named honorable mention according to voting done by the conference’s coaches and released to the media.
Shepherd had a team-high 216 kills, 10 aces, 31 blocks, 147 digs and 177 serves received. Gonzalez led the team with 434 digs and 522 serves received. She also had 19 kills, 32 aces and 94 assists.
Wise had 205 kills and added 27 aces, 23 blocks, 205 digs and 307 serves received. She was second on the team in kills and serves received and third in digs.
Bremen’s Eliana Grubbs and John Glenn’s Vivian Stephens were named co-MVPs. Bremen and John Glenn tied for the conference title at 4-1. The conference switched from a double round-robin to a single round-robin this year.
