Stackhouse has 3 hits in Argos loss to Whitko

Whitko 15, Argos 5 (5 innings, April 13): Ava Stackhouse went 3 for 3 with two stolen bases and two runs scored for Argos in a road loss to Whitko on April 13.

Kadyn Baughman and Aleasia Sarver each added a hit and an RBI. Lexi Schenkel also had a hit.

Sarver took the loss in the circle. She pitched 3 ⅓ innings and allowed 10 hits and 14 runs (four earned) with three walks and no strikeouts.

Sydney Lewark relieved and allowed two hits and one run in 1 ⅓ innings. She walked one and struck out none.

Whitko scored five runs in the first inning and seven more in the second to build a 12-1 lead. Whitko led 14-5 going into the bottom of the fifth and scored a run to end the game.

Argos committed five errors which led to 10 unearnred runs for Whitko.

Knox’s Barnes pitches no-hitter in win over Argos

Knox 12, Argos 1 (5 innings, April 25): Ava Stackhouse walked twice and scored Argos’ lone run in a road loss to Knox on April 25.

Knox’s Bethany Barnes pitched a no-hitter with four walks and six strikeouts.

Aleasia Sarver took the loss in the circle, allowing 11 hits and 12 runs (10 earned) in four innings. She walked five, hit a batter and struck out two.

The Lady Redskins scored seven runs in the first and added two in the second to build a 9-0 lead.

Argos 7, Triton 4 (May 2): Kadyn Baughman doubled twice and drove in four runs for the host Lady Dragons in a come-from-behind win over sectional rival Triton May 2.

Ava Stackhouse singled and doubled, drove in a run and scored three times. Lexi Schenkel had two hits and two runs scored. Brylee Elliott had a single. Aleasia Sarver had an RBI.

Sarver also pitched a six-hitter with seven walks, two hit batters and seven strikeouts. Argos committed five errors which led to two unearned runs for Triton.

Triton led 4-1 going into the bottom of the fifth before Argos scored three times. Argos added three more runs in the sixth to take the lead for good.

Westville 9, Argos 0 (May 3): Ava Stackhouse and Kadyn Baughman each singled, but the host Lady Dragons fell to sectional rival Westville on May 3.

Kierstin Vargas pitched a two-hit shutout with 16 strikeouts for the Lady Blackhawks.

Sarver took the loss in the circle, allowing 14 hits and nine runs (five earned). She walked four and struck out three.

Westville scored in each of the first four innings to build a 9-0 lead.

Argos 21, Oregon-Davis 0 (5 innings, May 5): Aleasia Sarver pitched a one-hitter with two walks and 10 strikeouts, and she also had three hits and four RBIs at the plate for the visiting Lady Dragons in a road rout of Oregon-Davis on May 5.

Brylee Elliott homered, singled twice and also drove in four runs. Kadyn Baughman also had three RBIs. Kendra Burkholder singled and drove in two runs.

Ava Stackhouse, Kayla Moore, June Clark, Carlie Rex and Lily McMillen had one RBI apiece.

Shelbi Weiser singled twice, walked twice and scored twice. Lexi Schenkel singled, walked and scored three times.

Already leading 8-0, Argos scored 11 runs in the top of the third.

Argos hitters walked 10 times and were hit by six pitches.
