Valley hits 10 3-pointers but drops opener to Mishawaka

Boys basketball

Mishawaka 62, Tippecanoe Valley 57 (final, Nov. 23): Nolan Cumberland hit four 3-pointers and scored 26 points, and Riley Shepherd also hit four treys and added 14 for the Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team in a season-opening loss to host Mishawaka on Nov. 23.

Tayde Kiser added eight, Cooper Walls had six, Dylan Neese had two, and Kyler Johnson had one.

Valley hit 10 3-pointers while Mishawaka hit one, but the Cavemen outscored Valley 13-4 in the second quarter to take a 25-23 halftime lead.
