Winamac at Knox, 7:30 p.m.
Winamac coach Josh Burgess starts his second season against a Knox team coming off its second sectional title in school history last year.
Both teams will have new quarterbacks. Max Gearhart is the new starter at Winamac with junior Cash Roth moving from quarterback to receiver.
Knox is looking for a replacement to the graduated Cohen Watson, and senior Rowen Jordan is believed to have the inside track on the job.
Regardless who takes the snaps, top running back threats figure to be junior Jake Conroy and sophomore Myles McLaughlin.
Though Knox did win nine games last year, they allowed 268 yards of offense per game and allowed 21 or more points eight times. However, Winamac scored 21 or more points just twice in 10 games.
Knox has won five of the last six meetings against Winamac.
