Logansport def. Winamac, 25-15, 25-18, 25-15 (Thursday): Maggie Smith had 11 kills and 10 digs, and Kaya Campbell had a team-high 12 digs for Winamac in a road loss to Logansport Thursday. She also had 12 serves received. Chloe Rausch had 15 assists and six digs filling for Aubrey Gearhart, who was interviewing for the Lilly Endowment Scholarship.
Alyssa Villanueva had 15 serves received.
“After two big conference wins early in the week, we came out a little flat,” Winamac coach Heather Kasten said. “We were slow to react on hitting coverage and serve-receive. When we got our feet to the ball, our passes looked great. Serves were not a problem either, with four of the six starters serving at 100 percent.”

Winamac def. Culver, 25-10, 25-8, 25-9 (Tuesday): Maggie Smith had 15 kills, five aces and 11 digs for the host Lady Warriors in a Hoosier North win over Culver Tuesday.
Ella Gearhart also had five aces to go with three digs. Aubrey Gearhart had 23 assists and three aces.
“We came out a little flat, maybe a little tired, after Monday night’s big game against North Judson,” Winamac coach Heather Kasten said in a statement. “However, even with the muted energy level, we were still able to get the job done and force errors on the other side of the net. That’s been the key for us the last few games – not shooting ourselves in the foot with errors. Even with the change in game pace from Monday to Tuesday, we were able to focus, adjust well and capitalize on the easier passes.”

Ella Gearhart had 14 digs and nine aces. Kaya Campbell had 13 digs, and Sydney Thompson had 12. Aubrey Gearhart had 29 assists.
“Seniors Maggie Smith and Aubrey Gearhart were finally in the groove they’ve been looking for all season long,” Winamac coach Heather Kasten said in a statement. “Communication was at all-time high, and we looked great defensively against a tough and scrappy North Judson team.”
