Girls soccer
Andrean 1, Argos 0 (Saturday): Alaina Kielbasa scored the only goal in the second half for the Andrean girls soccer team in a win over Argos in the Class 1A Westview sectional final Saturday.
Kate Wantuch had 10 saves in goal for Andrean to earn the shutout.
Alydia Leed had seven saves for No. 17 Argos, who finished 9-7-3.
No. 7 Andrean improved to 14-2-4. They will next play Fort Wayne Canterbury at 7 p.m. Eastern Saturday at Chesterton in the semistate.
Argos eliminated Trinity Greenlawn and Bethany Christian during their tournament run, a pair of teams that beat them during the regular season. They also won their fifth consecutive sectional title.
Seniors on the Argos roster included Baleigh Binkley, Lauren McGlothin, Aryanna Allen, Bella Stults, Emma Dunlap, Kekiana Haines, Kadyn Baughman, Amanda Fajardo and Kyra Crace.
Argos has won five regional titles in its history, most recently in 2020.
