Girls basketball
Bremen 58, Winamac 39 (Saturday): Eliana Grubbs hit three 3-pointers and scored 22 points, and Emma Lawmaster added four treys and 16 points for No. 7 Bremen in a win over Winamac in the Class 2A, Sectional 34 final at LaVille Saturday.
Maggie Keller and Sadie Popejoy led a balanced Winamac attack with eight points each. Marissa Iverson had seven, Corinne Ulerick had six, and Kandace Kroft and Kylie Fisher had five each.
Kroft finished her career with 1,214 points.
Bremen led 31-22 at halftime and extended their lead to 48-28 after three quarters.
Bremen (22-2) won their third straight sectional and will play Andrean at LaPorte in a regional at 5 p.m. Eastern this Saturday.
Winamac (19-7) has not won a sectional since 2014.
